Face #1

"Face #1“ is my first successful attempt at screen printing, which has been my newest project post-graduation from Brandeis University this past spring. The face itself is a flipped close up of a recent digital collage I created titled „Discobolus“. This experiment focused on how well screen printing can deliver midtones, and how a black & white image changes the original layering of a digital collage. The outcome showed in my opinion that single color halftones work well to unify many formerly distinct sections, which is something I plan to play around more with. This work is an edition of 1 and hangs in a 10x8 inch frame.
